Denise Burke, Labour’s Parliamentary Candidate for North Norfolk, says:
North Norfolk residents are increasingly seeing through the two-faced actions of their current MP, Norman Lamb.
Only this week Mr Lamb announced a pre-election bribe of almost half a million pounds funding for Sheringham rail station on the North Norfolk Railway mainly used by tourists.
At the same time he has asked local residents for their views on how the Bittern Line from Norwich to Sheringham could be improved.
A much better use of the new money would have been to improve the Bittern Line which is used by local residents to get to and from work, study, shopping and leisure. That would create more jobs in North Norfolk.
Labour has already helped secure later trains on the Bittern Line. Now the MP is jumping onto the bandwagon. North Norfolk deserves better.
